Manufacturing, Inc. has again launched another product
to support the needs of the MD-80 operators. ASTECH's
new direct replacement Inlet Inner Barrel is designed
to incorporate ASTECH's Quiet Systems Technology,
QST™. The all-welded PH15-7Mo stainless steel inner
barrel will replace the existing bonded aluminum unit.
ASTECH will provide a modification kit or modify
your MD-80 inlet in our FAA Approved Repair Station.

- Durability:
- ASTECH's new QST™ product
eliminates wire mesh separation. The all-welded
process sandwiches the mesh between the perforated
skin and the core, protecting it from external
elements.
- The use of all-welded stainless
steel rather than bonded aluminum eliminates all high
temperature failure issues.
- Repairability: Damaged sections can be
easily cut out and a new section welded in its place.
- Weight: Minimum impact 2 to 7 lbs.
- One piece construction: Eliminated multiple
parts and makes replacement easier (attached ring
integral).
- Warranty: Five (5) years from date of shipment
- Availability: Barrels in stock for immediate
sale.
